The Free Forever plan gives you permanent access to Porter Metrics with a limited number of accounts and historical data. It is designed for freelancers, small businesses, or anyone who wants to try Porter long-term without a financial commitment.
There is no trial period, no credit card, and no automatic upgrade. If the free plan covers your needs, you can use it indefinitely.
You can connect up to 3 accounts using any combination of Porter's 22+ connectors. Each account connects one data source. Examples:
1 Meta Ads + 1 Google Ads + 1 GA4 = 3 accounts
3 Meta Ads accounts (different ad accounts) = 3 accounts
1 TikTok Ads + 1 LinkedIn Ads + 1 Shopify = 3 accounts
3 blended accounts (e.g., Meta Ads + Google Ads + TikTok Ads combined in one view) = 3 accounts
Both single and blended accounts count toward the 3-account limit. Each blended account uses one slot, same as a single account.
All connectors on the free plan are limited to 30 days of historical data. This applies to every connector equally, regardless of what the platform's API normally allows.
If you request a date range longer than 30 days, you will see this error message:
"Free forever plan: you cannot ask for more than 30 days of historical data or add more than 3 accounts."
To access more historical data, upgrade to any paid plan.
The free plan supports two reporting destinations:
Looker Studio (formerly Google Data Studio): Build visual dashboards and reports.
Google Sheets: Pull marketing data directly into spreadsheets for custom analysis.
BigQuery is not available on the free plan. If you need BigQuery as a data destination, you must upgrade to a paid plan.
Your data refreshes automatically throughout the day with no limits on the number of refreshes. The refresh frequency depends on the connector and is the same as paid plans.
The free plan supports one user. This is the account owner. You cannot add team members or collaborators to the Porter Metrics account on the free plan. However, you can still share your Looker Studio dashboards with anyone (sharing the dashboard is a Looker Studio feature, not a Porter limitation).
When your Porter Metrics trial ends:
If you had 3 or fewer accounts during the trial, your plan automatically converts to the Free Forever plan. Your dashboards continue working without interruption.
If you had more than 3 accounts during the trial, your dashboards will break because the free plan cannot support more than 3 connections. You will need to either remove accounts to get down to 3, or upgrade to a paid plan.

No. Free forever means free forever. There is no time limit, no forced upgrade, and no feature degradation over time. As long as you stay within the 3-account and 30-day limits, your plan continues indefinitely.
Yes. Both single and blended accounts are allowed. Each account (single or blended) counts as one of your 3 available slots. For example, you could use 3 blended accounts to combine Meta Ads, Google Ads, and TikTok Ads into a unified cross-channel view at no cost.
You will see an error and the connection will not be created. To add more accounts, you need to upgrade to a paid plan or remove an existing account first.
Yes. You can upgrade to any paid plan at any time from your Porter Metrics dashboard. Your existing connections and data will carry over. Once you upgrade, the 3-account and 30-day limitations are removed immediately.
Yes. The trial gives you full access to all features (unlimited accounts, full historical data, BigQuery) for a limited time. The free plan gives you permanent access with restrictions (3 accounts, 30 days, no BigQuery). When your trial ends, you either upgrade to a paid plan or transition to the free plan.
Yes. Sharing dashboards is a Looker Studio feature, not a Porter limitation. You can share reports with as many viewers as you want. The 1-user limit only applies to who can manage the Porter Metrics account (connect sources, change settings).
