  • Connecting the data to a new report template.

  • When your data suddenly disconnects from your charts.

Connecting your data on a new, blank report

For the record, to create a new report on Google Data Studio, just log in with your Google account, go to datastudio.google.com and click on Blank report or Create - Report.

Then, you'll visit the Google Data Studio connectors gallery. Type "Porter" on the search bar, and you will find our connectors to bring data for multiple apps.

Connecting the data to a new report template.

When you create a copy of our Google Data Studio report templates (Tutorial here), sometimes your new report breaks, showing this error: "Missing data source".

This happens because Google Data Studio could not recognize the connector or something was wrong during the setup.

To fix it, go to edit your report.

Then, go to Resources - Manage added data sources.

You will find the connectors linked to your reports.
