Sometimes, you will see one of the next errors:
"Invalid/missing dimensions, metrics, or filters".
Sometimes, the error is the same—invalid combination of fields—but every data source may return it with a different message, but with the same intent.
"These fields cannot be combined".
"Report configuration issue - please select a valid combination of dimensions and/or metrics in the property panel".
"Sorry, you cannot combine post statistics with followers data".
This type of error suggests that you didn't set your query correctly.
You cannot combine all the metrics with all dimensions, and after using certain filters your charts may break.
With Facebook pages, you can't combine page data—like page followers and page likes—with post data. You cannot report, for instance, how many new followers your post has; those are separate things.
With Facebook Ads, you can't break down your custom conversion data by device, gender, and age at the same time. For demographics, Facebook Ads allows certain combinations, maybe due to privacy policies.
With Instagram Insights, If you want to check post metrics in a chart series, you will need to combine it with Post Date.
With Instagram Insights, If you want to check profile metrics in a chart series, you will need to combine it with the profile date.
For instance, below, there's a chart that would break your Facebook pages connection:
You cannot see your Post images paid reach as the paid reach is only displayed at the Facebook page level, not the post.
To solve it, try removing or changing your metrics and dimensions to identify which one is causing the error.
