Why you need to authorize your data sources
Sometimes your reports will break because your accounts need authorization to keep allowing Porter Metrics to pull your metrics.
You will find a message like this one.
Why does this happen? This is completely normal; we'll explain to you:
Every data source requires that you reconnect them mainly for security reasons.
If you changed your password recently, it might ask providers like us to authenticate the account.
How to reauthorize your permissions
1. Go to your data source connection
You can get here from Looker Studio or Sheets report or directly for your Porter account
Click on the arrow next to the 'Unauthorized' notification
2.Edit your previous settings -if needed-
Each data source has it's own process to authenticate an account.
Just be sure to accept all accounts and permissions to avoid problems when pulling your data.
Pro tip: be sure to have Admin or Superadmin permissions. Some data sources don't allow editor or analysts to give authorization to third party providers.
3. Accept all permissions
Depending on the data source you are using this process might slightly different
4. Go to Looker Studio by clicking on the green button
Go back to your report and refresh everything.
