How do Automation credits work?

What one credit buys, how many credits a task costs, and what happens when you run out.

One credit equals one completed task — one action Porter's AI successfully executes in a platform, like creating a campaign, uploading a creative, or scheduling a post.

A real example

Launching a single ad from scratch is about 5 credits: uploading the image, creating the creative, the campaign, the ad set, and the ad each count as one task.

You're only charged when it works

If a platform rejects the action, it costs nothing. Bulk actions charge per action, not per request — pausing 50 campaigns in one batch is 50 credits, because that's 50 things you didn't have to do by hand.

Credits are shared, not per person

Credits belong to your subscription, not to an individual. One license covers unlimited users, each working from their own AI tool, all drawing from the same pool — there's no per-seat charge.

What happens when they run out

Automations pause until your credits refresh — nothing is billed automatically and there are no overage fees. You can buy more credits upfront to keep going without waiting for the refresh.

Rollover

Credits included in your plan don't roll over — they reset at the end of your billing period. Credits you buy on top last a full year from the purchase date.

Annual plans

You get the whole year of credits upfront — 12 months' worth on day one — and you choose how to spread them across the year.
