A connection is how you link an app or data source account to a reporting tool.

If you would like to report only ONE Instagram page on Google Data Studio, you would need only one connection.
If your business would like to report its Instagram page, a Facebook page, and a Facebook Ads account to Google Data Studio, you would require 3 connections.
If your company wants to connect 5 Facebook pages and 5 Facebook Ads accounts to Google Data Studio, that would mean you will need 10 connections.
Let's say you are a marketing team for Company A, You want to show your leaders how the budget has been spent on your department and how much you are growing.
You want to report Facebook Ads for one business account, LinkedIn Ads for one business account, and TikTok ads for one business account for a total of 4 accounts.
You will need at least a team plan.
If you are an agency, and you want to report to your customers
You want to report Facebook Ads for five business accounts, Facebook Insights for five-page, and Instagram Insights for five accounts. For a total of 15 accounts.
You will need at least an Agency plan.
Let's say you can't find the number of connections you need on our page.
If you want to report Twitter Ads for ten business accounts, Twitter organic for ten accounts, Facebook Ads for ten business accounts, Facebook Insights for ten pages, for a total of 40 connections.
You will need custom plans.
